We are excited to announce our newest intern and team member, Alyssa Steele! Currently in her senior year at the University of Maryland, Alyssa majors in landscape architecture and recently obtained her certification in Ornamental Horticulture through the Institute of Applied Agriculture.
In Summer 2021, Alyssa interned at Berkshire Botanical Gardens and Naumkeag in Stockbridge, Massachusetts, where she participated in charrettes for design analysis and proposal of a new master plan. Alyssa’s exposure to the gardens on a daily basis enabled her to better understand the design issues that ultimately leveraged her informed decision making.
She also completed a monthlong internship at Monet’s Garden in Giverny, France (about 50 miles west of Paris). Her primary role was tending to older flowers, replacing them with colors that were representative of Monet’s paintings; and guest relations, where she provided American visitors with touring information.
Alyssa is most excited to take her classroom knowledge and internship experiences to further her landscape architecture skillset at Intreegue. Welcome aboard, we look forward to learning and growing with you! Meet the rest of our team.
