This project is the renovation of a historic home in Rock Creek Park outside D.C. The current Ambassador wants the home and landscape to be restored to its previous stately appearance to also serve as a residence. Exterior spaces such as a parking court, orangerie, pool with fountains, fireplace, gardens, and shade structure were included. A lower area along the road includes a grand lawn and parking to accommodate a tent for special events. The design contains areas for both private and public activities to reflect the many functions of the Ambassador’s life.
