Andrew H. Balderson has over 44 years of award winning experience serving a diverse clientele on a wide range of projects. Andrew is an expert on overseeing all phases of project design, development, installation, permitting, and construction management. Andrew is personally involved in historic projects. He also has 45 years of experience in the tree growing industry, providing his clients with invaluable knowledge of tree selection and installation. Since 1983 he has been a proprietor of Three Springs Nursery, Laytonsville, MD, specializing in the growing of over 14,000 specimens of ornamental, shade, evergreen and native trees. He has cultivated a keen knowledge of tree production, transplanting, and management in the urban environment. Andrew’s expertise in large caliper tree plantings has been of great importance to the success of the historical projects.

Andrew has testified as an expert site planner and landscape architect for Montgomery County Circuit Court, the Board of Appeals for Montgomery County, the City of Gaithersburg, and Maryland National Capital Park & Planning Commission. He was also a technical consultant for the City of Gaithersburg’s Tree Manual for landscaping, tree preservation and reforestation.
